Joe Exotic has announced that he wants to run for president in 2024.
The ”Tiger King” became a household name three years ago when Netflix released a documentary on the strange events at GW Zoo.
Joe is currently in federal prison for animal abuse and attempted murder but has said that it is his “constitutional right” to run even from prison.

Joe said in his campaign statement: “Yes, I know I am in Federal Prison and you might think this is a joke but it’s not. It is my Constitutional right to do this even from here.”
He claimed that others had assisted in “falsely convicting him” saying: “I have been put here only because of the corruption in the Department of Justice, three felons that were told how to lie under oath to further this agenda.”
The letter also has some strange allegations saying that the US government “gives away” taxes to foreign nations.
Joe said: ” “That is why I am doing this, to finally give you a voice and your freedom back without fear of living in a country that thinks they own you and can tell you how to live your life.”
He finished off the bizarre letter by saying that he is “broke” and it is time to “take the country back.”
Joe is unlikely to be president however as he is currently serving a 21-year sentence for allegedly trying to hire two hitmen to kill Carol Baskin in 2020.
He was also convicted of killing five tigers, selling cubs illegally and falsifying records but he has often denied these claims.
He acknowledged the charges in his statement saying: “the only thing I did was put five very old, crippled tigers to sleep in the most humane way possible and it was approved by my USDA Inspector, so it’s time to get over it.”
Joe also took a swipe at Carol saying she’d ‘killed 226 tigers’ and that most people ‘ate meat’ so it was ‘time to move past this issue’.
Joe Exotic, whose real name is Joe Maldonado-Passage, is the self-proclaimed Tiger King.
