Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff’s Top Gear horror crash car was not fitted with airbags, it has been reported.
The famous cricketer was driving an open-topped three-wheel sports vehicle, the Sun revealed.
An internal health and safety investigation is now close to being completed and will highlight further details of the incident.

According to reports, BBC bosses are anxiously preparing themselves for possible legal action from the people that were involved in the accident.
Freddie and a crew member were badly injured after the car flipped in December last year.
The £43,000 Morgan Super 3 has a top speed of 130mph and toppled at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey.

The ex-England plater, 45, suffered some serious facial injuries plus broken ribs.
The British hand-made vehicle appears to comply with UK safety standards though Morgan does confirm on its website that it does not have airbags fitted in the “motorised tricycle”.
A source told The Sun: “Very little has been revealed about the accident and bosses are keen to keep a lid on details.
“This revelation about not having an airbag is bound to spark questions from fans.”

The show will not return to screens this year and Freddie has also suspended all work while he recovers.
The horror crash has left the future of the car show “in serious doubt”.
A source told The Sun last month: “It was a freak accident and somehow the car flipped over and the two men were dragged along.
“Freddie and the crew member were both wearing helmets, but it was still a severe accident.

“Everyone on the scene was shocked by how serious it was and they were very worried about the two men strapped in.
“No-one is rushing back to work any time soon. The future of the show is in serious doubt.”
The show is no stranger to accidents and can often be very dangerous at times.
Former host Richard Hammond, 53, was even once left in a two-week coma after a crash back in 2006.
He lost control of a £2million supercar in Switzerland and was unfortunately left with a frontal lobe brain injury.
Another time, he left with another brain injury, but was out of bed and walking just 30 hours later.
