Love Island star sparks outrage with 'sick' photos as he poses with dead deer

Love Island star Ollie Williams has come under fire once again after posting a shocking photo of himself posing with three dead Chinese Water Deer and a rifle on his Instagram account.

The 26-year-old, who describes himself as a “professional hunter”, makes no apologies for his love of the “sport”.

However, fans of the reality TV star were outraged by the image, which shows Williams crouching in hunting gear with the bloodied deer carcasses.

Captioning the photo, he wrote: “A fantastic morning with @paulchilderley on the Chinese Water Deer “They are prolific breeders with a hell of an appetite for seedling crops! “5/6 for the Grand Slam, Sika to go!”

Following his post, animal rights group PETA slammed the “cold-hearted” viscount-in-waiting, in a statement shared with MailOnline.

PETA Vice President Mimi Bekhechi said: “It takes a cold heart to enjoy traumatising, hurting, and killing animals who are minding their own business.

“The UK public objects to gratuitous violence, so it’s no surprise that Ollie Williams is in the firing line for his callous behaviour.

“PETA urges him to retire his rifle and recognise that animals deserve care and protection, not to be hunted down and shot.”

One follower simply commented “disgusting”, while another shared a crying emoji.

A third wrote, “Bet you’re well proud”.

Williams had previously faced backlash during his appearance on Love Island’s sixth series in 2020, where he was accused of being a trophy hunting enthusiast after photos of him posing with dead animals emerged.

At the time, fans of the show launched a petition on Change.org, demanding ITV remove him from the programme.

However, Williams denied the accusations, claiming he was actually passionate about nature.

Despite this, he quit the show after just three days, amid mounting pressure from viewers.

Ollie had initially been coupled up with Paige Turley, who went on to win the series with Finnley Tapp.

Since then, Williams has continued to post trophy hunting photos on his social media accounts, causing outrage amongst his followers.

The latest photo of him posing with the dead deer has only added fuel to the fire.

The Love Island star was rushed to hospital at the end of last year after falling from a balcony.

The incident left him with a broken ankle, and he later revealed that he had been drinking heavily at the time.
