Coronation Street snubbed from BAFTA TV Awards as Emmerdale and EastEnders battle it out

The BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises 2023 nominations were announced Wednesday morning (March 22) – but 2022 winner Coronation Street was missing from one of the major categories.

The ITV soap took home the prestigious prize for Best Soap and Continuing Drama at the 2022 awards ceremony, but was not shortlisted for the 2023 awards.

Instead, Emmerdale, EastEnders and Casualty will go head to head in the category, as they vie to take home the prize at the ceremony on May 14.
