EastEnders actor Dean Gaffney has confirmed his return to acting after four years.
The star was last seen on our screens as icon Robbie Jackson in the BBC soap in 2019 and made an appearance as himself on Celebs Go Dating in 2020.
However, Dean took to Instagram to announce that he is returning to acting in a new pantomime this April, where he will play the Prince in a production of Rapunzel.

The star shared a video of the cast in rehearsals as they practiced their vocals, and panned the camera around the theatre, where the final clip showed co-star Kerry Katona – who plays Mother Gothel in the pantomime.
He captioned the post: “Panto at Easter, who’d of thought it!”
Dean and Kerry are not the only famous faces to appear in the pantomime either, as they are joined by Strictly Come Dancing’s Joanne Clifton as Rapunzel and Britain’s Got Talent star Jamie and puppet Chuck as the Court Jesters.
The Easter Panto tour will visit venues around the UK including the Ellesmere Port Civic Hall, Palace Theatre Redditch and Victoria Theatre Halifax.
Rapunzel marks Dean’s return to acting, after a long career that has seen him become one of the most memorable EastEnders characters as Robbie Jackson – alongside dog Wellard.
He played Robbie between 1993 and 2003, before making brief returns in 2017 and 2019.
Dean has also starred in The Bill, Oasis, Extras, M.I High, The Club and Misfits, as well as coming fifth in the in the 2006 series of ITV reality show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
The actor has not ruled out a soap return though, with the actor saying on This Morning in 2015: “I think honesty is the best policy. I’d like to go back in the future and see what they’ve done with Robbie,” adding that he’d love to return to EastEnders in the future.
