Honey Boo Boo has left fans baffled with her bizarre new accent in a now-viral video.
The Toddlers and Tiaras star, who hails from McIntyre in Georgia, affected a new accent after branding herself “ghetto” in a live TikTok.
In the video, Alana, 17, could be heard saying: “I’ma actually start talking like this … OK. Cuz’ y’all think I’m so ghetto, I’m finna show y’all how f***ing ghetto.”

While tapping her head, Alana continued: “Let me tell you, we’re good on this side, babe. We good on this side. Let me tell you dat again.”
Alana has since been accused of cultural appropriation as she appeared to be mimicking the way women of colour pat their heads to ease the itch of getting their hair braided when they’re unable to scratch the newly-styled hair.
One furious fan fumed at her: “Why she patting her head? YOU’RE A WHITE WOMAN!”
As another wrote: “She knows damn well she don’t sound like that.”
And a third fan agreed: “No the wig taps at the end, she knew what she did right there…” while someone else penned: “The head pat, everything about this…”
Alana has since clapped back at her haters, explaining on Instagram: “No, I wasn’t attempting to offend anyone!
“I did this because people frequently comment on how ‘ghetto’ my speech is. Which I feel in no way I do. I feel I am my own true self.”
Alana said she created the video in an attempt to “troll everyone back”, adding she was “proving a point to the Karens that love to have an opinion on everything”.
She added: “Also I would love to add that in no way was I being rude or disrespectful by the head taps! I understand that people use that method to relieve itch when they have a hairstyle in, I’m fully aware also I love trying new wigs as well.”

Alana concluded: “Lastly this is the last time I will speak on this topic. That’s a wrap!”
And some fans were clearly siding with the TLC star, as one posted: “I’m sorry. I chuckled.”
“Lemme just gone bout my grown a** business before I say some disrespectful about this lil girl,” someone else said.
As a third social media user posted: “She was doing this voice on purpose because people think she fakes her southern accent. But if you really know Honey Boo Boo, she’s always had a southern accent. She’s basically trolling her trolls.”
