On screen, Beverly Hills, 90210 stars Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty were firm friends.
But away from the cameras, the two teenage girls had a fierce rivalry that could turn nasty.
Jennie, who played Kelly Taylor in the hit 1990s TV show, said the pair even “took it outside”.

She lifted the lid on the physical altercation she had with Shannen, who played her best pal Brenda Walsh, when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen back in August, 2019.
The incident was apparently sparked by Shannen, who would go on to pose for Playboy, cheekily lifting up Jennie’s skirt.
Jennie, who celebrates turning 51 today (April 3), said: “I can only remember one incident and that was when, yeah, we took it outside.
“Yeah, I’m a Midwestern girl, and I spent some time in Glendale, Arizona. So, that makes you tough.”
Jennie admitted they were both “young” and “so stupid” at the time, confirming a rivalry with her “nemesis”.
She said their male co-stars came between them to stop things erupting into violence.
Jennie added: “The guys that held us back. So, we never actually [did anything].”
Another star of the show, Tori Spelling, was apparently caught in the middle of the feud.
“[Tori] was the peacekeeper, that’s true, because she loved both of us,” Jennie told Cohen.
Tori, who was also in the interview, added: “I stayed in my dressing room shaking when it was happening.”
She then explained that things had kicked off after some “teasing” and the skirt lifting incident.
Jennie replied: “We were teasing, yeah, I didn’t care for that. Like who does that? I wouldn’t do that to someone. … I’m pretty sure I got in her face. We are just both very strong, Aries women. We don’t back down no matter what.”
In an interview with E! Jennie revealed some “serious s**t” would “go down” with her “nemesis” Shannen on set.
But thankfully, the pair have long since buried the hatchet.
Shannen, who is living with stage four cancer, told Entertainment Weekly in 2008: “I think when you’re 18, your personalities conflict, and then you meet up 10 or 15 years later and the playing ground is totally different and you’re fine.
“The first moment I saw her it was like, ‘OK, this is going to be good. It was like, ‘Hey.’ Then a hug.
“It’s like going to a war together. You’ve already been in the trenches together. You learned so much from that first war. That second war, you know what you need to do to make the set the most peaceful environment you can possibly have.”
Earlier this month, rumours surfaced that the pair had reignited their past feud after Jennie posted cast reunion photos from 90s Con, with Shannen conspicuous by her absence.
She was quick to shoot allegations down, saying: “We had almost completely diff schedules so sadly we barely saw each other.
“Stop making assumptions when you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.”
Beverly Hills, 90210 was a huge hit both sides on the Pond, running between 1990 and 2000. It followed the lives of a group of privileged pals living in the exclusive Los Angeles neighbourhood from school to young adulthood.
