The Ghost Adventures Team have taken viewers into some of the world’s most haunted locations – from Hollywood night clubs, to historic houses and islands with a spooky past.
Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Jay Wasley and Billy Tolley have captured evidence of their paranormal experiences, which has ranged from shadow figures and disembodied voices, to items being thrown across rooms and more.
That’s not all, as some members of the crew even appear to have become possessed by the spirits of some locations during certain episodes.

As Zak Bagans turns 46 years old today (April 5), Daily Star takes a look at some of Ghost Adventures most terrifying moments.
Goldfield Hotel
One of the original Ghost Adventures investigations took Zak and Aaron to The Goldfield Hotel, Nevada, where they captured some of their first paranormal activity.
This included the terrifying moment a brick appeared to fly across a room, leaving both the team and viewers in shock.
It was an investigation that started it all, with the Ghost Adventures team since returning to the location for multiple lockdowns, including their two hour Ghost Adventures: Goldfield Hotel special.
Speaking to The Wrap about the emotionally charged investigation, Zak said: “It was personal. There’s just something about the Goldfield Hotel that had marked us early on. And that mark never goes away.
“I mean, there’s only a couple of locations where spirits constantly call our names. There’s something about us that they don’t like.”
It was not just the crew who were affected though, as a spirit seemed to ‘attach’ itself to Aaron.
Aaron could then be seen tackling fellow investigator Billy, with Zak explaining: “I’ve never been on an investigation where so many of us got so, so badly affected, particularly Aaron. I’ve never seen rage from Aaron Goodwin at all like that ever.
“To see that happen to him really spoke to the nature and the whole overview of what we were dealing with inside that building.”
Poveglia Island
During one of the Ghost Adventures team’s earlier investigations, Zak and the crew visited Poveglia Island – a small island located near Venice, Italy.
The host could be heard explaining to viewers that “Locals and tourists are forbidden from visiting,” with the crew capturing a lot of paranormal activity during their investigation of the island.
This included disembodied voices, apparitions and electronic voice phenomenon (EVPs).
Goatman’s Bridge
The Goatman’s Bridge was just one of the terrifying locations that featured as part of the Ghost Adventure’s Route 666 Halloween special.
The episode saw the team being attacked, cameras capturing apparitions including red free-floating eyes and one member of the crew appearing to get possessed – along with team member Aaron feeling as if he was being thrown over in the location.
The Halloween special also saw the team visit the DeSoto Hotel, where they captured three apparitions standing on camera, along with loud bangs and a camera being ripped off the wall.
An unseen force also threw a ceiling fan, while lights continued to turn themselves on and off.
El Rancho Hotel
The Ghost Adventures team were called to the El Rancho Hotel, New Mexico after employees reported a rise in paranormal activity.
Zak explained to viewers that the crew were there to investigate a “dark wave of energy” at the location, with the atmosphere in the venue leaving the cast and crew feeling uneasy throughout.
Former employees talking about their experiences were even brought to tears as they remembered their paranormal encounters.
As soon as Zak and the crew stepped into the venue, activity began to occur, with the team becoming spooked as the head of a shadowy apparition appeared to poke its head around a door.
Lights began to go out on their own too, with EMF (Electro Magnetic Field) spikes detected in some of the rooms.
That’s not all, as Aaron could be seen running down a hall as he felt like something touched his back and that he felt it “go through” him.
Crew member Jay also conducted a solo lockdown in a separate room, as he asked the spirits to “show themselves,” before hearing an unexplained growl.
Loftus Hall
A 2015 Halloween special called Ireland’s Celtic Demons saw the Ghost Adventures team investigate the famous Loftus Hall in Wexford.
Loftus Hall was once a private residence before later being transformed into a convent. It was also a hotel in 1983 but was later abandoned, before re-opening for historic tours.
The owners of the property could be heard telling the team: “You’re the first crew we’ve allowed into the house – and that’s for good reason,” before they conducted their investigation.
During their investigation, the team caught a variety of activity including anomalies on camera, with host Zak explaining that he felt like something was leading him into different parts of the house.
He also felt the temperature drop as he investigated the upper floors of the house, as Zak said the energy became “more tense” as if “he shouldn’t be here.”
Zak could also hear a voice in the hallway, before he captured what he believed to be the spirit of Lady Anne, who used to reside in the house.
Edinburgh Vaults
In another early investigation, the Ghost Adventures team visited the Edinburgh Vaults, which have been known to have been a haunted hotspot.
The season one investigation saw Zak try to communicate with spirits in the location, before viewers could heard hear him saying: “I don’t feel good at all. There’s something in here with me and I can feel it.”
He also captured unexplained noises, including continuous sounds of banging in the vaults and the sound of sawing in the room of a former cobbler, as well as the voice of a spirit.
Cecil Hotel
The Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles is considered one of the most haunted hotels in the world and has been the subject of numerous documentaries throughout the years.
American Horror Story: Hotel also drew on inspiration from the venue’s past.
During their investigation, the team encountered activity including water taps turning themselves on and off in the hotel rooms and they also received unexplained scratches on their bodies.
Team members were also unexplainably overcome with emotion, as they captured evidence of light anomalies and disembodied voices.
Speaking to Den of Geek, Zak described the investigation as “spectacularly frightening,” adding: “You don’t know what you’re feeling there. There’s too many spirits, too much energy.”
