Emmerdale Nicky's real mum 'exposed' as viewers 'twig' connection to evil Meena

Emmerdale fans are convinced they’ve worked out the identity of Nicky Milligan’s (Lewis Cope) mum.

It was confirmed that Nicky is the secret son of Caleb Miligan (William Ash) and not the grandson of former character Frank Tate (Norman Bowler) in recent scenes.

Nicky has previously claimed that his mother had died when he was a teenager and that he helped raise is younger siblings.

However, it has since emerged that Nicky had lied about his past to his wife-to-be Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) and that his mum is alive.

Nicky threatened to tell his mother about Caleb sleeping with Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi), before revealing she was on the brink of homelessness due to Caleb losing all their money.

Caleb made it clear that he and his wife were no longer together, telling Nicky he needed to get used to the fact they were separated.

With Nicky’s mum still alive, fans have turned into armchair detectives and some think they’ve seen the mystery woman on screen before.

Some fans are convinced Barrister Milligan is Nicky’s mother

One fan penned: “Is Nicky’s mum the Defence Barrister Milligan (Amy Robbins) from Meena’s court plea hearing? Is that how Caleb was able to help Kyle with legal stuff?”

Another added: His wife is Meena’s barrister who’s surname is also Milligan”

A third person posted: “I think Nicky’s mum is Meena’s barrister.”

Fans will remember that Defence Barrister Milligan (Amy Robbins) was present for serial killer Meena Jutla’s (Paige Sandhu) plea hearing in March 2022 in which the villain was charged on an 18 count indictment.

Meena pleaded “guilty” to the less severe charges of kidnapping, false imprisonment, and attempted murder but she pleaded “not guilty” to the charges of murdering Ben Tucker, Andrea Tate and Leanna Cavanagh.

She later presented Meena’s case at her trial.

Fans will have to wait and see if Nicky is the son of the village barrister.

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
