Coronation Street’s Sally Carman has been supported by fans and co-stars after returning to social media after announcing she was taking a break.
On February 23 the Abi Franklin star took to Instagram to announce that she was taking a break from social media.
At the time she shared a graphic which read: “Taking a bit of a break from social media for the next few weeks,” along with a red heart emoji in the caption.

Fans were quick to send their love and well wishes to Sally at the time, with some even questioning if she was doing okay.
But now Sally has made a return to Instagram, and broke her silence today (April 13).
Sharing a screen grab of an article about her “sad” break from social media, Sally shared the reasoning behind her decision to log off for a few weeks.
Taking to the caption, Sally penned: “Not sad at all, just gave up social media for Lent. Anyway, I’m back now and have already watched a toilet roll sprout fungi – Instagram, I’ve missed you.”
Fans were overjoyed, with many flocking to the comments section to welcome the soap starlet back to the weird and wonderful world of social media.
“Yay! Lovely to see you back Sally! Though a but of respite from social is always good,” penned one fan.
Another added: “Great to have you back Sally!”
While a third wrote: “Welcome back! We’ve missed you!!”
Sally is known for her portrayal of Abi in the much-loved Manchester-based soap opera, with her even married to a co-star in real life.
Away from the cobbles Sally is married to Joe Duttine who plays Tim Metcalfe in the soap.
Joe’s character Tim is married to Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) in the soap opera, while Sally’s character Abi is in a relationship with Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).
In the soap, Abi is best pals with Sally, and Tim best pals with Kevin.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Thursday on ITV1 and ITVX.
