Woody Harrelson has revealed a hilarious prank on a Hollywood co-star while on set which almost gave him “a hernia”.
The Natural Born Killers actor shared a gut-busting anecdote of a trick he pulled on Justin Theroux while filming HBO’s new mini series, White House Plumbers.
The pair were acting in a scene where Woody’s character, E. Howard Hunt, had passed out in prison, causing Justin’s Character, G. Gordon Liddy, to carry him to safety.

But unbeknownst to Justin, rascal Woody had strapped weights and sandbags to himself – and dragging him nearly gave Justin “a hernia”.
The biographical drama follows the exploits and infamy of the Watergate masterminds, with the five-part series airing on May 1.
Woody, 61, explained on Good Morning America: “We had one great thing where I fall ill and he picks me up and carries me.”
Despite the True Detective star’s beautiful acting, Justin was taken aback at the Herculean effort it took to haul the star to safety.
Justin, 51, added: “He does the scene, and he does it beautifully, actually.
“He falls on the ground, and I have to crouch and pick him up and sort of march him out, sort of Shawshank style out of the prison.”
He continued: “And I’m literally bleeding out of my ears and veins [are standing out on my head].
“And everyone’s laughing at me, and then I realise – he starts unbuttoning his shirt – he’s put weights all over his entire body.”
The Mulholland Drive actor, who’s also the cousin of documentarian Louis Theroux, estimated that Woody weighed upwards of 200lbs (90kg).
And Woody couldn’t contain his laughter after the scene, removing the weights from “every part” of his body that made the task so gruelling.
Earlier in the interview, the prankster joked that their interactions on set were sometimes “tempestuous” and would often “wrestle” on set.
The backbreaking work failed to cause a rift between the stars and Justin, who was previous married to Jennifer Aniston, took the jape in good spirits.
He concluded: “We had a lot of fun. We had too much fun to get paid for.”
