A Place in the Sun’s Scarlette Douglas has confirmed that she’s picked up even more damage to her leg by falling off her crutches.
Earlier this week, the reality TV star revealed that she had sustained a “super painful” tear in her leg, caused by an incident, which occurred during football training.
She explained: “I felt my calf ping, like an elastic band.”
But despite the accident, she remained in cheerful spirits as an MRI revealed the severity of the damage wasn’t sufficient enough to require surgery.

A cheerful Douglas told her fans: “Thank you, everyone, for your prayers, well wishes and good energy; I don’t need an operation. Luckily, what was initially speculated to be a partial Achilles tear is actually a grade 2b soleus tear. (Grade 3 being the worst.)”
She continued: “The Soleus is the lower part of the calf muscle that attaches the main calf muscle to the Achilles. It’s super painful, but with a lot of good physio, rest and the right exercises, I’ll be back in time for Soccer Aid!
“Remember, this is a minor setback for a major comeback, and trust me when I say no matter what, I will be fit enough to play at least do 5/10 minutes on that Old Trafford Pitch.
“Nothing will stop me!! Thanks again to all of you that reached out and have been thinking of me ❤️.”
But while things initially looked positive, on Tuesday, the former I’m a Celebrity campmate revealed that she’s suffered a subsequent injury.
She updated her 76.8K Instagram followers, confessing, “I just fell off my crutches and hurt my leg again…
She added: “Today is going swimmingly well”, alongside an upside-down smiling face emoji.
The 36-year-old presenter bravely uploaded an image of her surgical boot as well as a tub of massage cream and rolls of bandages.
In a testament to her positive mindset, she exclaimed: “Let the recovery commence.”
All that Douglas can do now is rest up and hope her body heals in time for her to achieve her dream.
Soccer Aid takes place on Sunday, June 11, at Old Trafford, with singer, Liam Payne and boxer, Tommy Fury, captaining the two sides.
