BGT’s Amanda Holden eyeing up US move after secret America’s Got Talent meetings

Amanda Holden may be about to “break America” and make a massive move to Hollywood.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge has reportedly been in top-secret talks with show bigwigs and has even been on the set of the US version where she “fitted in really well” and got along famously with the panel.

Amanda has also put her house on the market in the last two weeks and has been eyeing up US universities in LA, New York and Boston for her daughter, Lexi, 17.

Traditionally, America’s Got Talent always has a British judge and, of course, Amanda, 52, is great pals with its creator Simon Cowell and his fiancée Lauren Silverman.

She has even gone so far as to say the reality telly mogul “made her”.

A move to the US could also be because she and fellow judge Alesha Dixon have been clashing with BGT bosses about their pay.

It was reported earlier this year the pair threatened to leave the show if their salaries did not match that of male newcomer, Bruno Tonioli.

A source told The Sun that Amanda got on famously with AGT judges Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara and that producers “absolutely loved her”.

The source went on: “Amanda is seriously contemplating a move to the States. It feels like the time is now.

“She spent the school hols in LA with the whole family and had a wonderful time.

“She’s been hanging out with Simon and his fiancée, Lauren, who has been encouraging her to make the move and enjoy the sunshine and blue skies permanently. Some exciting conversations are being had.”

It remains to be seen if Amanda will fly back from the States weekly for BGT, where she has been a judge since 2007.

She recently also rubbished claims she had once been involved romantically with “godlike” Cowell, 63.

She told The Times: “He teases me it was a date, but it wasn’t when we went out for dinner and I took my best friend.”

Amanda added: “I am just eternally grateful that BGT gave me a chance.

“Simon Cowell likes to say he made people like me and it’s true. When I joined BGT there was no social media, so it was my chance to show people who I really am.

“In life, you can’t make everyone like you, but at least I got a chance to change some of the perceptions about me.”
