I’m A Celebrity… South Africa fans threatened to stop watching the ITV reality show following the first dumping of the series.
During Friday’s instalment (April 28) of the programme, Shaun Ryder, 60, and Gillian McKeith, 63, were booted from the South African camp in a surprise twist.
Savannah Scrub campmates, Shaun, Phil Tuffnel and Andy Whyment were tasked with choosing a partner from main camp to bring to the Bush Tucker trial.

The Happy Mondays legend teamed up with Gillian, while Andy picked Diversity star Jordan Banjo and Phil opted for fellow champion Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo.
The pairs then went head-to-head with their other campmates in Savage Safari in a battle to remain in camp.
The celebrities were handcuffed together and tasked with removing spanners and wrenches from three boxes in order to free themselves.
But as usual, the campmates weren’t alone as the boxes were filled with creepy crawlies including snakes, offal and rats.
After finishing last, presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly revealed Shaun and Gillian’s time in camp was over.
Taking to social media after the surprise dumping, viewers threatened to switch off as they fumed over the exit, particularly Shaun’s.
One fan wrote: “Wasn’t even watching but shaun has gone home. not watching anymore #ImACeleb.”
“Shaun was the only one worth watching .. and Phil and Andy, cant stand any of the others in there,” added a second person.
Another chimed in: “Slightly embarrassed to admit I’m watching #ImACeleb but why on earth get rid of Shaun Ryder straight away, by far the most entertaining of all of the camp mates? Bizarre that.”
A fourth viewer raged: “What a f***ing waste a time put that silly cow in there. Producers have f***ed up big time taking Shaun out. Not worth watching now #ImACeleb.”
Following his exit, Shaun admitted he “loved” his jungle experience the second time around.
“I liked it. See, I’m a bit of a slow learner to say the least, so it takes me a while to adapt, but I loved it,” he said.
The singer added: “Whilst you’re at it and doing it, you don’t realise and I was thinking once I left, god yeah there were some great moments in there.”
