Emmerdale viewers have been left frustrated that Charity Dingle still hasn’t worked out that husband Mack could be the father of Chloe’s baby boy Reuben.
Mack (Lawrence Robb) had a one night stand with Chloe (Jessie Elland) after an argument with now wife Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), with Chloe giving birth nine months later to son Reuben.
As son Reuben’s health worsens, potential father Mack is seen to be getting more worried and concerned whenever the tiny tot is mentioned – but wife Charity doesn’t seem to have noticed her husband’s strange behaviour which has left ITV viewers at home frustrated.

During Tuesday’s episode, Charity told Mack that doctors fear Reuben might have a bleed on the brain, with Mack looking devastated as he stammers: “I thought he was going to be ok”.
The worried Scotsman then urges wife Charity not to attend the hospital as he reasons: “No, I don’t think that’s a good idea. They won’t want a lot of people there and it will be family only.”
Viewers at home couldn’t believe that Charity wasn’t noting the change in husband Mack as they shared their disbelief at her blindness on social media.
One viewer tweeted: “I can’t believe charity isn’t seeing Mack’s reaction to all this baby illness news and thinking somethings not right..”
Another wrote: “The penny still isn’t dropping for Charity.”
“Can’t wait for Charity to find out about Mackenzie and Chloe – she’ll never have hated a baby so quick in her life #Emmerdale not long now till she knows the truth,” said a third.
Later in tonight’s episode an emotional Mack lashed out and punched Dan in The Woolpack, but wife Charity still didn’t twig why.
One viewer tweeted: “Charity wake up !! It was obvious why Mack kicked off then!”
Another added: “Mack is as white as Glowy which should give Charity a clue but nah let’s drag this out till the viewers are at screamig point.”
“Oh Charity, why haven’t you worked it out yet, you’re supposed to be one of the smart ones in Emmerdale,” said a third.
Another urged: “wake up Charity, Mac’s reaction screams “I’m the baby’s father”.
A fifth tweeted: “Making it oh sooooo obvious all is not what it seems with this outburst! Charity should have alarm bells ringing! Somethings not right here!!!!!”.
Another viewer said the outburst had made Mack’s paternity to baby Reuben obvious: “Couldn’t have made it any more obvious that he’s the dad Way to go, Mack.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
