Christine McGuinness declares love for Corrie star Helen Flanagan after meeting up

In a candid and inspiring post, Christine McGuinness delivered a powerful revelation, in which she discussed the difficulties of her autism diagnosis.

The 35-year-old, who was crowned Miss Liverpool in 2007, is often praised for keeping her 710,000 Instagram followers in the loop, and on this occasion, she gave them an insight into her experience at the Pride of Manchester Awards.

In a testament to her ability to overcome her diagnosis, Christine proudly presented an award to Peter Garsden at the event, despite having difficulty doing so.

She said: “It’s always an honour to present an award but wow, my nerves, anxiety, and sensory overload spins my head.” She added: “I gave an award out to this amazing man called Peter. I’m not comfortable on stage, I’m a nervous wreck, but I had to give this award because he is just amazing.

She continued: “But I found a little clip, and I am on and off. I give the award out and run off the stage.”

Christine had a cracking evening, in which she caught up with a plethora of her famous pals.

She said: “I’ve seen loads of people I love, which is just amazing. I caught up with Colson, who I done The Games with. I seen Teddy who I done the real Full Monty with. I saw Helen Flanagan, I love her.

“Jenny Powell, I bumped into her in Ibiza last week, and I saw her again last night. It’s kind of like having friends you don’t need to stay in touch with so it’s great for me.

“But I’m tired now, and I’m done with communicating, so I’m looking forward to a nice, gorgeous quiet night. I can’ t wait.”

In 2011, Christine married popular comic, Paddy McGuinness, to whom she had three children, who have all been diagnosed with autism.

Together, they starred in a documentary, entitled ‘ Paddy and Christine McGuinness: Our Family and Autism’, in order to raise awareness.

And while the pair separated in 2022, they still do their utmost for the children.
