Liam said: “Welcome lad. You American, British, Croatian, Kiwi. Louie Mark Roderick Stewart 5.12.23.”
Photos included Louie cuddled skin to skin on Liam’s chest with another hospital snap of the newborn with mother Nicole.
There were also more playful pics with a Louie adorning a full green Celtic football kit, and a fun animated talking broccoli head video that the couple made while in hospital.
The post saw the couple inundated with congratulatory messages from the couple’s hoards of followers, with eagle-eyed fans noticing a tribute to Liam’s rockstar dad included in Louie’s middle name.
One fan wrote: “Congrats!! He is so precious! Glad everyone well. Wish you all much happiness!! Love the little Celtic wear! Grandpop did well!!”
Another wrote: “He’s beautiful! Congratulations to you both.”

Liam is Rod’s sixth child, who the rockstar had with Kiwi model and actress, Rachel Hunter in 1994.
Liam’s son Louie will be Rod’s second grandchild.
The rockstar first became a grandparent in 2011 when his daughter Kimberley Stewart had daughter Delilah del Toro.
