The Chase host Bradley Walsh was left halting the show and issuing a plea during the latest episode after a “brave” player stepped up to bag some serious cash.
The hit ITV gameshow was back on TV screens on Monday as the host Bradley welcomed four new quizzers onto the show.
As fans tuned in for the primetime programme, the former Corrie star introduced contestants Gary, Sarah, Ailsa and George before they battled it out to take home the all-important cash prize.

This week the quartet were up against Darragh Ennis who made sure to bring his A-game against the wise quizzers.
But Bradley and the viewers were left floored when Ailsa decided to go for the high offer – causing Bradley to halt the show.
Ailsa managed to bag £4,000 in the cash builder – and when it came to her head-to-head Darragh offered her a whopping £44,000 or a mere £1,000.
“I’m gonna go £44,000,” Ailsa said.
“Excellent,” Darragh replied with a huge grin on his face, while Bradley stood to the side looking shocked.
“Sorry everyone,” Ailsa said to her fellow team.
“You know, what,” Bradley began, before shaking her hand.
“Well done, £44,000 let’s go,” he added.
But as the gameshow went into the head-to-head, Bradley halted the programme and said: “You know what, I wish more players would do that. Because where else are you gonna go get? Good luck!”
Darragh noted how he was convinced she was going to go for the hight offer, adding “fair play, very brave.”
And viewers were equally as taken back by Ailsa’s decision to choose the high offer – with plenty rushing to Twitter to share their thought.
“Oh my, didn’t expect that!” said one viewer, as another added: “She’s going high. Very nice.”
A third chimed in and said: “I thought she’d go low… Fair play.”
It was Ailsa’s lucky day though as she managed to beat the chaser and bag a place in the final – taking with her a massive £44,000.
Fans were over the moon to see her get through, with one person tweeting: “High offer not caught!! We bloody salute you. Legend”
A second second: “Well done Ailsa! Well done for going for it.”
Ailsa joined the rest of her team for the epic final – which saw them attempt to score a huge £48,000.
However, with just 13 seconds remaining, Darragh caught the players and sent them home empty-handed.
