Phillip Schofield tipped for ‘West End return’ after explosive This Morning exit

Phillip Scofield is set to be involved in a “brand new peak time series” to come, ITV bosses have revealed.

On Saturday (May 20), the 61-year-old presenter dramatically quit This Morning following “feud” rumours with his former co-star Holly Willoughby.

Question marks continue to look over his head regarding his involvement in his other presenting role on Dancing on Ice who he also hosts with the mum-of-three.

As speculation continues to follow the broadcaster, a PR expert has revealed that the star could make an epic return to West End or in panto following his stage success in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat back in 1991.

Brand and culture expert Nick Ede told MailOnline: “He was a very big musical star selling out West End shows like Joseph [And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat] and Dr Doolittle, he may consider treating the boards again or touring in a pantomime.”

He went on to add that the presenter could even be offered a multi-million pound deal by Channel 5 thanks to his past as a BBC Radio 1 DJ, adding: “He’s a bankable star and still a big name to many.”

“This Morning is made by one of the best and most diligent teams in television, who produce 12 hours of live television each week.
