EastEnders fan reckon they have predicted the arrival of a new villain on Albert Square – and that the newcomer could become the Christmas flashback victim.
Linda Carter recently agreed to go into business with her mother Elaine Peacock and run the Queen Vic pub together.
However, Linda is unaware that Elaine has asked her partner George Knight and his family to move into the pub with them, leaving Linda horrified in a new trailer for the BBC soap.

With the Knights set to make an explosive entrance onto the square, many fans think George could have a hidden past and become a future villain, leading to his potential death as the Christmas flashback victim.

“Theory on the new EastEnders family … George Knight will be the one who dies at Christmas,” said one fan.
A second added: “Honestly I’ll be surprised if George knight ISN’T a villain and the possible body on the floor at Christmas. Just because of the timing of when the character comes into the show with the stories that are happening at the moment.”

Fans also remembered that Stacey Slater was stood in front of a picture of a knight in the flashback episode, with all the clues seeming to indicate that George could be the Christmas Day victim and that Linda could be the possible murderer.
“Wait a minute. The bouquet of dead flowers Linda is holding has a red bow. Red is Stacey’s colour and in the flash forward she is standing in front of a knight,” said one fan.

While the clues seem to point towards George, other viewers have pointed out that the knight could symbolise another character from Linda’s past.
Fans think the “knight in shining armour” could be her ex lover Max Branning, who fled Walford in 2021 – unaware that she welcomed their daughter Annie just months later.
One took to social media to ask: “Is Max Branning the killer? Linda’s unexpected knight in shining armour, and a knight stands behind stacey in the flash-forward?”
Max previously had an affair with Stacey Slater too, with the positioning of the photograph behind Stacey seeming to hint at the possibility that he could return to the square.
However could he return and become the victim?
“May take a bet on the dead fella being Max Branning, for reasons unknown. But the Knight in armour behind Stacey would normally be him, so maybe the blood on her hands is roping poor old @mrjakedwood back to E20 only for his demise,” suggested another viewer.
