Piers Morgan furiously brands Harry and Meghan ‘drama queens’ after car chase

Piers Morgan has unleashed a scathing attack on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, branding them “victimhood-worshipping drama queens.”

The former GMB broadcaster criticised claims that the couple endured a “near catastrophic” car chase incident in New York City after attending an awards show on Tuesday (May 16).

Morgan dismissed the account as “another load of hyperbolic old codswallop from a pair of ludicrous, victimhood-worshipping drama queens who wouldn’t know the truth if it slapped them in their rich, entitled, hypocritical faces.”

Referring to the alleged pursuit by paparazzi photographers, which reportedly lasted two hours, Morgan joined skeptics questioning the veracity of the couple’s spokesperson’s version of events.

“Police confirmed there was no reported near-catastrophe or multiple near collisions, and nobody was hurt or arrested.

“As with so many assertions made by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, it turns out their truth wasn’t, in fact, the truth,” he wrote scathingly in his weekly New York Post column.

In a fiery tirade, Morgan didn’t mince his words, further stating: “It’s gotten to the stage where most sensible people with even half a functional brain barely believe a word that comes out of Harry and Meghan’s whiny mouths because little of it survives even the most cursory of fact checks.”

Morgan didn’t stop there, going on to discuss what he saw as Harry and Meghan’s history of incorrect claims.

He challenged the lack of evidence supporting their allegations of racism within the Royal Family and Meghan’s alleged lack of support during her struggles with mental health.

It comes after it was reported that Prince Harry and wife Meghan were hounded for over two hours by what their spokesperson described as “highly aggressive” paparazzi.

“This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD (New York Police Department) officers,” their spokesperson said.

They added: While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone’s safety.”
