Lizzie saw the group and invited them to perform a workout with her to their song It Only Takes A Minute Girl and after the broadcast in 1992, the group hit turning point and the song skyrocketed to number 7 on the UK singles chart.
The 74-year-old has now made a rare TV appearance as she joined Lorraine on her show – and fans were in awe of how similar she looked.
Taking to Twitter, one user wrote: “Lizzie hasn’t changed,” while another said: “Some people keep the same hairstyle their entire life. Lizzie there for example.”
While another added: “I feel my life is now for fulfilled, after seeing a 74 year old woman do the splits on a cutaway from Lorraine.”
As fans were in awe of her appearance as they claimed she “hadn’t changed”, they weren’t the only ones praising her.
Lorraine swooned over Lizzie, telling her: “You look fantastic and you can still do the splits! You can still do all of this and I remember on TV you were one of the first people to do exercises for people who maybe had a disability or were a bit frail.
“You sat down on the chair and would do these exercises and suddenly everybody could join in and it was really inclusive.”
Lizzie added: “That’s what it should be. It’s for everybody and it’s never too late to start.”
Lorraine also reflected on how Simon Cowell was a big fan of Lizzie, adding: “Simon Cowell loved you! That was before he was on TV.”
The fitness guru added: “He approached me and said, ‘would you have Sinita on?’ I must have done about five years with different guests – all sorts of things..
“The music was a big part, it was just everything.”
