BGT chaos as Ant ‘wets himself and farts’ as he takes tumble minutes into live ITV show

Britains Got Talent was thrown into chaos within minutes of the first live episode airing – after Ant McPartlin tripped up on stage.

The hit ITV show was back on TV screens on Monday (May 19) for a week of semi-finals.

But things took a rather awkward turn when co-host Ant took a tumble during a jaw-dropping opening number.

After a performance from Diversity, the Geordie duos then slid on stage, only for Ant to slip up right on his back.

His pal Dec looked completely shocked and helped him up as he tried to laugh it off.

Ant was left red-faced after his trip

“Ow my back” he raged, while Declan Donnelly couldn’t contain his laughter at the blunder.

“If you didn’t catch that on telly, that was quite a heavy fall!” Ant went on.

“Are you ok?” his pal quizzed him.

“I wet myself and farted at the same time,” he proclaimed.

Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli and Alesha Dixon also picked up on the blunder.

Ant took a tumble during the live show

Alesha quipped how she would “love to press rewind” so she could watch again, while Amanda asked if his “coccyx was alright.”

But it seemed Ant was keen to move on from his tumble.

Looking rather red-faced he said: “Enough of that now!” before introducing the first act of the night: United 2 Dance.

However, after the first break Dec brought up Ant’s fall again showing him, and the nation at home, the tumble again – but in slow motion.

Watching himself trip on the stage, Ant joked to boss Simon: “You better lawyer up!”

Fans spotted the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment too

Viewers at home too were left in tears over the blunder, with one person writing on Twitter: “Ant’s fall was more entertaining than any of the acts tbh (hope he’s okay mind).”

A second mused: “Everyone caught up with the live show now after rewinding it a few times to watch Ant fall over?”

“How many times will Ants fall be on blooper shows over the next few years?! That was a sore one,” penned. a third viewer, while someone else quipped: “Oooh Ant took a right fall.”
