Gogglebox’s Pete Sandiford introduces newborn daughter and reveals sweet name

Gogglebox star Pete Sandiford has introduced his loyal legion of fans to his newborn daughter on the Channel 4 show.

During Friday’s episode (June 2) of the beloved commentary show, the reality star sat down on the sofa with his sister Sophie.

But this week the brother and sister duo weren’t alone as he brought along his daughter for her first TV debut.

Moments before the show ended, viewers got a look at his newborn daughter as he revealed her adorable name on the show.

While his sister was in the other room putting a load of laundry in the wash, he shouted: “Hey Sophie, did I tell you Eva’s full name? She’s going to be Eva Sylvie Sandiford.”

Sophie immediately shared her approval as she shouted from the other room, “Oh I love it!”

Fans were quick to share their joy over the little ones arrival, as they flooded to Twitter in their waves.

One user penned: “@Petesandiford Congratulations to Pete and Paige Sandiford n the birth of their baby girl Evie #Gogglebox.”

Another agreed: “#gogglebox aww Pete’s baba [smiley emoji, heart emoji. baby emoji]” as third gushed: “And congratulations to Pete as well! #gogglebox.”

A fourth echoed: “#Gogglebox What a lovely start and finish to Gogglebox tonight! Congratulations to Ellie on the birth of her son and to Pete on the birth of his daughter [three heart emojis].”

But he wasn’t the only person to introduce his newborn child to viewers on Friday, after Ellie and Izzi opened the show with her newborn son Ezra.

The happy couple first announced they were expecting their second child back in December in the same episode as Ellie Warner.

In the adorable clip, Pete told his son Jimmy that he is set to become a big brother.

He joked: “Jimbers, you’re going to have a little brother or sister coming. You’re going to have to milk it.”
