Corrie Craig Tinker actor floors co-stars with major achievement after epic weight loss

Coronation Street star Colson Smith has shared a major achievement with his fans and co-stars – and they couldn’t get enough.

The Craig Tinker star first shot to fame back in 2011 when he first set foot on the famous cobbles aged just 12 years old.

Since then, he’s become a copper, found himself heartbroken in recent episodes and has undergone quite a dramatic transformation.

It’s been reported the 24-year-old has dropped over 10 stone in the last two years alone – a feat he said has been down to running.

The soap star has been in total training mode these past few months – gearing up for the Stockholm marathon.

And this week the big day finally arrived – and Colson didn’t waste no time in updating his fans on how he did.

Thousands of miles away from the cobbles, he took to his Instagram on Saturday (June 3) to share a snap of him at the race in Sweden.

Beaming to the camera, Colson looked incredible – flaunting his slim physique in black gym gear.

In the caption, the TV favourite wrote his time: “3:44:11,” along with an emoji of the Swedish flag.

As expected, his fans and co-stars soon rushed to the comments section to send their congratulations and support.

“Top work mate,” gushed one fan, as another added: “Smashed it well done!”

Colson dropped 10 stone after a lifestyle overhaul which saw him take up running and a strict gym routine.

He also documented his weight loss journey in the YouTube documentary, Bored of Being The Fat Kid, and told Runners World: “I was always the fat kid. It’s kind of the identity I ended up with.

“I was ready to kind of change that and move on from it.”

Colson revealed on This Morning that he had been playing the same character on Coronation Street since he was 11 years old, and that along with show producers, they decided to write in a weight loss transformation for Craig.

The actor added that he had always wanted to lose his weight and challenged himself to do so at the end of 2019.
