Vanessa Feltz appeared to take aim at the likes of Eamonn Holmes as she suggested that the “aggrieved, grudging malice” against This Morning is coming from people who aren’t on the show anymore.
Eamonn and fellow former This Morning star Dr Ranj have both been vocal about the scandal, which has seen the programme hit by claims of a toxic workplace and Phillip Schofield departing and admitting to a “unwise but not illegal” affair with a much younger colleague.
But Vanessa – a This Morning regular herself – seemed to hint at a bit of sour grapes.

Speaking on her TalkTV show, she said: “It has been suggested that quite a lot of the people who are very vocally critical of This Morning.

“And, actually, it’s a handful of people, there are some celebrities, a couple of journalists, and what’s been suggested is quite a lot of them were once on the programme and aren’t on it anymore.
“And that is the reason for this aggrieved, kind of, grudging, kind of malice that is coming out but if you ask people who are still on the programme and who are on it regularly, who enjoy being on it, they won’t know what they are talking about.”
Eamonn, who hosted This Morning with his wife Ruth Langsford before being shown the door in 2021, has had plenty to say about the controversy.
He claimed on GB News that Phillip “created an atmosphere” on This Morning “where people hated him”.
And he has also accused ITV of a “total cover up”.

Dr Ranj, who used to be a doctor on the show, has said that there was a “toxic” culture on the programme and that “the issues” go far beyond Phillip.
“It takes more than one person to create a culture,” he wrote in a long statement on Instagram.
