“I’m looking for Lorraine again,” said the assistant director. “I’ve been going from stage to stage in this building. I can’t find her anywhere and Chita wants to go over their number with the latest rewrites.”
The fluorescent light failing up above her head flickered and the hatmaker flinched as she accidentally jabbed an unprotected finger with the needle. “She went home hours ago. A little bit wicked of her in the middle of the tech rehearsal, I thought.”
“What would I do without you?” sighed the A.D. “The costume crew knows all.”
