Holly Willoughby says there’s a ‘cloud hanging over family’ in honest message to fans

Holly Willoughby has said there’s a “cloud hanging over us” as she shared an honest message with her loyal fans.

The star has been fronting This Morning again since last Monday (June 5) but with differing co-hosts, since her former friend Phillip Schofield quit the show and then ITV altogether after his “unwise but not illegal” affair was exposed.

Now, Holly has opened up about her current life situation with her fans in her latest newsletter from her wellness brand Wylde Moon.

However she did not address the still rumbling drama at ITV, instead focusing it on family life and how her kids are coping with exam season.

Somewhat echoing her ridiculed This Morning monologue, in which she asked viewers “are you okay?”, she started the newsletter with: “Hi, how’re you feeling today?”

Holly, 42, went on to talk about the “dreamy” weather the UK has been having, before sharing what she was looking forward to.

“Summer is literally right around the corner, bringing back picnics in the park, day trips to the beach, al fresco evenings spent with loved ones… and not forgetting the annual paddling pool scrub down and patch up!”

But addressing something not quite as positive and sparkly, she went on: “The only downside to this lovely weather for us as a family right now is the revision cloud hanging over us.”

Holly said that her kids Harry, 13, and Belle, 11, were “working so hard” and she wished there was some sort of accolade, as well as whatever exam result they get, to acknowledge their efforts outside of their school timetables.

The ITV regular, who is also mum to Chester, eight, finished the newsletter by talking about the moon cycle, urging her fans to “prepare and think about everything you are grateful for and anything you would like to bring into your life” this week.

Holly doesn’t give too much information about her kids away, and never shows their faces on social media.

And she will surely be wanting to keep attention away from her family where she can after a difficult few weeks.

Holly spoke out after Schofe admitted to his affair, condemning him for lying to her about it, branding the situation as “hurtful”.
