Britney Spears fans are mind blown after discovering that Toxic was written about a very unlikely celebrity.
Spears’ released Toxic back in 2003 and the pop sensation had an instant hit with the sassy, snappy song.
The cheeky song focusses on a woman who falls for a man that she knows is no good for her, but it turns out the tune was actually a diss toward someone very famous.

Singer Cathy Dennis helped pen the smash hit and based the lyrics upon her own personal experience dating a British icon.
Dennis, who is known for hits such as All Night Long and Do They Know It’s Christmas?, once dated Channel 4’s resident Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick.

It appears the two had a tumultuous relationship that ended badly and Dennis channelled her anger into a creative outlet.
Luckily for us, Cathy’s heartbreak birthed one of the most iconic pop songs of all time which is still loved today.
The revelation was popularised by media outlet Pop B*tch, who are predominantly responsible for blowing Britney Spears fans’ minds.
Pop B*tch wrote: “The man who inspired the Britney Spears track Toxic was someone that the song’s co-writer Cathy Dennis had been dating in the early 2000s, who broke up with her in 2003: Noel Fitzpatrick.”
They continued on to say: “It’s unlikely you’d have known who he was at the time (unless you had a sick spaniel) but he’s better known to most people nowadays as Channel 4’s Supervet!”
After hearing the news, fans have flocked to social media to marvel at the unexpected connection between Britney Spears and Supervet.
