Scarlett Johansson’s ‘nude scene’ made Wes Anderson so uncomfortable he had to ‘hide’

Scarlett Johansson lifted the lid on a rare “nude scene” which made Wes Anderson so “uncomfortable” he had to hide.

The 38-year-old Hollywood actress very rarely flashes the flesh on the big screen.

Aside from her most famous shot in the buff in 2013’s Under the Skin, she’s almost always opted to keep her kit on.

On Friday, everything changed as Scarlett revealed that she’d stripped naked for a sequence in upcoming movie Asteroid City.

And the film’s eccentric director, Wes Anderson, couldn’t hold back his discomfort.

Scarlett said Anderson seemed to get a bit tongue-tied when briefing the star on her nude role.

“Wes is probably the worst person to talk to about anything like that,” the actress told Yahoo Entertainment .

“He’s so uncomfortable around that topic.”

Scarlett plays the role of movie star Midge Campbell, who informs ex-war photographer Augie Steenbeck, played by Jason Schwarzman, about a nude scene in her upcoming play.

Scarlett is notorious for keeping her kit on, and the rare time she got nude director Wes panicked

But on top just telling him about the role, she casually takes off all her clothes and shows him.

And Anderson apparently felt so awkward he resorted to making noises and “hiding” behind his hands.

Scarlett added: “There was a lot of throat clearing and [Wes] sort of hiding his face.”

While Wes was red in the face as 2013’s ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ stood in front of him in the buff, the actress indicated she didn’t feel discomfort whatsoever in her rare nude scene.

Following on from the highs of 2009’s Fantastic Mr Fox and 2014’s The Grand Budapest Hotel, Anderson’s 11th flick hopes to be the best yet.

Asteroid City, which hits the silver screen on June 23, unfolds in two realities: one a colourful desert landscape of Asteroid City, while another in 1950s-era New York City.
