A filming crew working on ITV hit drama Van Der Valk were “attacked” by angry residents.
Filming for the new series took place in a quiet region in the Netherlands for just four days, but local residents were left outraged and told the crew to “get lost”.
Actors Marc Warren and Maimie McCoy also received a frosty reception as they shot on location for the third series of their drama.

Actress Maimie told The Sun: “We filmed in this gorgeous little village with just one through road – and the villagers hated us being there!
“They would be stuck in traffic trying to get through and beep their horns, so you’d be trying to do a scene and there’d be these consistent horns blaring, and shouting.
“It would be like: ‘Get lost! Get out of our place,'” she added.
Not only this, but Maimie also mentioned that one of the caravans that they were staying in got vandalised and said the back window of the vehicle was “smashed in” overnight.
Speaking candidly to the news outlet, both Marc and Maimie agreed they had a much more straightforward time in Amsterdam, where the majority of the show’s cases are set.
Despite this, Marc did also mention that he’s not a huge fan of their bikes.
Crime drama series Van Der Valk was rebooted back in 2020 as a reimagined version of the hit 70s show.
Marc made his debut on the show as crimefighter Simon “Piet” Van der Valk in the three-part series.
In the first series, viewers followed the life of Van der Valk as he investigated the murder of two political activists in Amsterdam.
However, since its return, some fans were not impressed with the lack of the theme tune, though the mini-series did pay a little nod to the original music.
Taking to Twitter one disgruntled viewer previously wrote: “If you’re going to do a reboot of a classic program then at least keep the original music.”
While another echoed: “Apparently, when I was a baby, I used to bob up and down whenever the Van Der Valk music came on. No bobbing tonight.”
