Netflix has faced critism for releasing an ill-timed tweet about its latest documentary called The Deepest Breath.
The streaming platform took to twitter with a trailer for the new film that tells the emotional true story of freediver Alessia Zecchini and her coach and safety expert Stephen Keenan.
The trailer tweet read: “Between life and death is one single breath. The Deepest Breath, an A24 production, only on Netflix 19 July.”

However, the streaming giant has face a huge backlash from fans who say that the tweet is “awful” given that five people are currently missing on a submarine in the Atlantic.

Experts fear the OceanGate craft may never be found if it sits at the bottom of the Atlantic, leaving its crew lost forever onboard.
Fans took to social media to criticise Netflix for its timing.
One user angrily asked: “Wow epic timing, and not in a good way. Who decided this was going up?”
Another agreed, adding: “Maybe it’s not the right time to show the trailer,” with a third branding the tweet “awful”.

A fourth said: “Looks good but terrible timing.”
A search was launched for the OceanGate Explorations vessel “Titan” after it went missing on Sunday morning (June 18).
The expedition is believed to have launched from Newfoundland, Canada, on Saturday (June 17).
The submarine was taking the passengers 12,500ft underwater to the wreck on the Titanic.
It lost communication with the mothership during the two-hour descent.

One of the five passengers on board is British billionaire Hamish Harding, the CEO of Action Aviation in Dubai.
Posting to Facebook, his stepson, Brian Szasz said: “Hamish Harding my stepfather has gone missing on submarine thoughts and prayers.”
Stockton Rush, the CEO and founder of OceanGate Expeditions, is also feared to be on board, reports Sky News.
