Emmerdale hit with complaints over ‘far-fetched’ storyline as they fume it’s ‘so wrong’

Emmerdale fans are not too happy with the soap’s “far-fetched” storyline involving Caleb Miligan (William Ash) and his son Nicky (Lewis Cope).

Bad boy Caleb, who has angered plenty of residents of the Dales, was attacked by a mystery person last week – and has been in a coma and in hospital ever since.

As expected, fans have been speculating who pushed him – but in Tuesday’s episode (June 20) the culprit confessed to the crime.

Caleb woke up from his coma

However, during the latest instalment on Wednesday (June 21) Caleb woke up from the coma leaving his soon looking rather concerned.

“He might not remember much anyway,” the doctor told him, but it turns out they were wrong.

“‘I remember exactly what happened,’ Nicky insisted to his son.

“It was you that pushed me.”

And viewers were not happy with the revelation – who slammed the storyline as “unbelievable” and “far-fetched.”

Emmerdale fans were not happy

Taking to Twitter one person said: “Caleb wakes up fine from a coma after falling from quite a height onto a tree or rock or whatever it was. Ridiculous.”

A second said: “Straight out of a coma, with full memory & perfect speech. Wow.”

Nicky attempted to tell his dad Caleb that it had been an accident, but Caleb was not having it.

“You left me there dying,” he pointed out.

Caleb told Nicky he ‘remembers everything’

It comes after Caleb star William teased a ‘huge potential’ for Nicky’s mum to arrive following his character’s brutal attack.

The ex of Caleb Milligan has been mentioned by both Nicky and Caleb over the last few months.

And William has said that they’d both like to see the character turn up in the village.

He told told Daily Star and other press: “There’s huge potential for Caleb’s ex wife and Nicky’s mum.

“There’s already a bit of a picture of that character even though she’s never been in it. We’ve talked about her quite a lot.”

“Caleb had a line talking to Leyla [Harding, played by Roxy Shahidi] about his kids, plural.

“I’ve never had that discussion with producers or anything but Nicky may have siblings and I may have other kids and there’s potential for those characters to come into it and I think it would be nice to flesh it out.
