New Love Island season start date already confirmed – and it’s way sooner than you think

Love Island fans, get ready to burst with excitement, because the new series’ start date has already been confirmed.

Fans are busy getting their teeth stuck into the 2023 summer edition of the hit ITV2 dating show, which has seen plenty of drama so far.

With returning contestant Kady McDermott making a shock entrance to the villa this week, the drama is already hotting up, and Casa Amor hasn’t even started yet.

But in July this year, fans can get their teeth stuck into yet another new series of the show, after already being treated to a winter edition earlier in 2023.

A new season of Love Island is coming – and it’s sooner than you think

That’s right, Love Island USA kicks off on July 18 on Peacock over in the States and on ITVX in the UK.

The new series is set to take place in Fiji with an all-new group of singles ready for the challenge of finding love in the bikini-heavy environment.

For six days each week, new episodes will be made available for streaming.

A first look trailer for season five of the show – narrated by none other than Iain Stirling – sees a whole bunch of singletons head to the ‘office’, stripping to swimwear and tossing beach balls around.

One of the girls sets fire to a bunch of romantic candles using a flamethrower, while another cheekily puts a bikini into a ‘shrinking machine’ to show the maximum amount of skin.

“Hold onto your bikini strings, America, your summer of love is back,” Iain can be heard saying.

At the end of the cheeky trailer, one of the lads approaches the shrinking machine in a teeny pair of bright blue Speedos – only for Iain to warn: “I think you’ve had enough there, mate.”

It’s about time, too, as last year’s USA winners, Timmy Pandolfi and Zeta Morrison, called it quits on their relationship back in January – meaning we’re all ready for some true love.

The series is set to be narrated by Iain Stirling and hosted by Modern Family star Sarah Hyland, who took over from Arielle Vandenberg last year.

Since moving over to Peacock from CBS, the streaming giant has also announced a brand new spin-off show dubbed Love Island Games, set to launch on streaming services later this year.

The show will see contestants from the US, UK and Australian versions of the show all compete to find a second shot at love.
