TV presenter Fiona Phillips has revealed she has Alzheimer’s Disease.
The 62-year-old star, most famous for presenting ITV’s GMTV Today breakfast show with Eamonn Holmes, made the revelation to the Mirror.
“This disease has ravaged my family and now it has come for me,” she said.

“And all over the country there are people of all different ages whose lives are being affected by it – it’s heartbreaking.
“I just hope I can help find a cure which might make things better for others in the future.”
Fiona was told she had the illness over a year ago and after suffering with brain fog and anxiety.
She is now undergoing trials for a new drug which experts believe could slow down or reverse the condition.
The TV personality is a mum to Nat, 24, and 21-year-old Mackenzie.
Fiona’s parents both battled the disease before sadly passing away and she’s being supported after by her This Morning editor husband Martin Frizell.
It comes after Fiona spoke out about the challenges she is facing while going through the menopause.
She said at the time that she needed to “take a break” as her changing hormones impacted her daily life.

“I’ve cried a thousand rivers in the past few weeks and I’ve got nothing to be sad about.
“I’ve been fearing for my sanity and am scared to do things I’ve been doing with ease for years.”
Fiona joined GMTV back in 1993 and presented her final show in 2008.
Since 2010, she has been back on ITV filling in Lorraine Kelly when she takes a break from her self-titled talk show.
