Fortunately, Madonna appears to be doing better and has shared an update on her Twitter page after her family were left “preparing for the worst”.
Madonna has confirmed that she is planning to start her tour in October, beginning in Europe.
She is rescheduling her North American leg of the tour and has not yet confirmed when she is planning on performing.
Madonna’s message read: “Thank you for your positive energy, prayers and words of healing and encouragement. I have felt your love. I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life. My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children.”
“My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour. I also didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone.”
She continued on to say that her focus “is her health and getting stronger” before she “assured” fans that she will “be back as soon as she can”.
Madonna then gushed that she “couldn’t be more grateful for her fans’ care and support” and signed off with an “M”.
The message was written in white text on a black background and she added a blue heart emoji in the caption.
She also attached a picture of herself wearing a black long sleeved top with her long blonde hair pulled to the side as she posed for the snap.
Fans flocked to send her messages of support, to brand her a “queen,” to tell her they “love her” and thanked her for the update.
Many urged Madonna “not to worry about the tour and the tickets” as her health is “the most important thing”.
The 64-year-old was said to have been injected with Narcan to help her with septic shock, which was reportedly “life threatening”.
