Margot Robbie’s unusual on-set rule exposed by Barbie co-star Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling, 42, has shared the details about Margot Robbie’s bizarre on-set rule as the Hollywood pair filmed the Barbie movie.

Ryan, who stars as the male lead Ken in Greta Gerwig’s 2023 Barbie film, confessed that his co-star Margot, 33, who plays Barbie, assembled a strict pink rule for everyone on set.

He revealed: “Margot had this pink day once a week, where everyone had to wear something pink. And if you didn’t, you were fined.”

Adding: “She would go around collecting the fines, and she would donate it to a charity.”

The La La Land actor added that creating this rule was a huge opportunity for those on set to bond and show their “respect and admiration” for what Margot and Gerwig were trying to create.

Ryan revealed that even the male crew members of the film leaned into the ritual and shared that after filming wrapped up, all cast and crew got together with their own money to make pink crew shirts with rainbow fringe.

He explained to People: “It was almost like that scene at the end of Dead Poets Society, where they all get on their desk and say, ‘O captain! My captain.”

Elsewhere and Margot also opened up about her adoration for her co-star, saying: “Ryan is the most comedically gifted actor I have ever worked with. He really is. He’s known for his dramatic acting, and rightly so. But he is unbelievably gifted with comedy, and I ruined most of his takes because I was laughing through all of it.”

The movie’s award-winning director, Greta Gerwig, who also directed Little Women and Lady Bird, expressed her excitement for the upcoming movie at the movie’s premiere in Los Angeles.
