Fans are all waiting in anticipation for Rocky’s wedding to soap icon Kathy Beale.

The star admitted that the storylines will be full of twists and turns with the return of Ian Beale and his pesky ex-wife Jo throwing a spanner in the works.

But while chatting to the Daily Star and other press, Rocky admitted making a cheeky jab at his wife when he left the house for his big filming day.

“I did say when I left the house – my wife says ‘where you off to’ I said ‘oh I’m gunna get married’. She said ‘oh ok’,” as he laughed through his playful story.

Brian made a candid confession about the influence the show has on his Cockney accent.

The soap star revealed that the longer he spends on set, his accent becomes noticeably thicker, causing his family to struggle to understand him.

Embracing his London roots, Brian admitted that the Cockney twang was reminiscent of Danny Dyer’s distinct style and gradually seeps into his speech as he immerses himself in the show.

“I was born in Paddington, lived in Kilburn, and I haven’t got to work on the accent, although I do come home and my wife and my girls go, ‘What are you talking like that for?'” he shared.

“So, I do talk a bit like Danny Dyer, like ‘Y’alright babes.’ It does rub off after a while. I am a Londoner, but I do notice when my Cockney accent gets stronger if I’m there for a few weeks, you know. It’s full-on.”

The beloved EastEnders actor revealed to the Daily Star that he has a long-standing habit of divulging show storylines to his mother.

In an effort to maintain the element of surprise and preserve the excitement for viewers, Brian has recognised the need to put a stop to this revealing behavior.

While it may be endearing to share such information with loved ones, he acknowledges that keeping storylines a secret adds to the enjoyment and thrill of watching the popular soap opera.

“I’m getting better at not telling anyone,” Conley admitted.

“I used to tell my mum. And even my girls. But now they don’t want to know. Because we genuinely enjoy the show. It’s exciting.”

But the actor also shared that there are certain storylines he can’t share, such as the Christmas death mystery because he simply “has no idea who it is.”

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One at 7.30pm
