Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid pointed out an awkward wardrobe blunder live on air during July 18’s show as Who Wants To Be A Millionaire icon Chris Tarrant appeared on the show.
Chris made the appearance to chat to Susanna and Richard Madly about his new book, but it didn’t take long for the conversation to turn to the iconic quiz competition which was a hit for decades.

As Susanna and Chris clamoured to tell the story, Susanna said: “I told you we might mention this, sorry… what a smart new suit… it has still got the shop tag on it which is so annoying because you can’t cut it out, you’ve got to go back to get it removed.”
As Chris stood up to show off his security tag on the back corner of his jacket to the camera, he chimed in: “I’m sure you’re thinking, wow Chris looks elegant today, in a new suit, but on the back… and of course I can’t cut it out.
“Obviously their security is not great.”
Susanna joked: “I don’t know why our buzzers didn’t go off this morning when you came in.”
Fans quickly rushed to social media to laugh at Chris’ wardrobe blunder as they asked whether he realised his mistake before he revealed it to the camera.
One said: “Looks like times are tight for Chris Tarrant on @GMB… if I’m not mistaken that’s a security tag on his jacket!!! Or it’s a great #Tizwas gag!!!”
Another asked: “How did Chris get out of the shop?”
A third chipped in: “Has Chris Tarrant got a brand new jacket? It’s still got the security tag attached to it!!!!!”
A fourth begged: “Ask Chris if he’s going to take his tag off his suit.”
GMB airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
