Love Island’s Scott fumes islanders ‘felt sorry for Mitch’ as he makes scathing dig

Love Island viewers are predicting carnage after Scott told Mitch that the only reason other people didn’t get to know Abi was that he’d been single for three weeks.

The dramatic moment was shown in the teaser ahead of Thursday night’s (20 July) instalment of the ITV dating show.

The tension was palpable as Scott told Mitch that everyone had “felt sorry” for him.

Scott’s dig came after Mitch said he and Abi were a “fake” couple in the challenge and were only together because Mitch ditched her.

Chaos looks set to erupt

“The only reason no one spoke to Abi is because you’ve been single for three weeks and we all felt sorry for you,” he fumed.

Fans loved the first look at the explosive moment, saying it looked pretty “brutal”.

“Let’s have it!” one person joked on Twitter after it aired.

“Looooool Scott again with this sharp tongue,” said another.

“Scott is a child,” said someone else. “No call for nastiness.”

Viewers were shocked at the remark

“Scott really said when they go low I go LOWER,” sniped someone else.

Another viewer chimed in: “Both Molly and Abi wanted Mitch, what is Scott talking about?

“The only reason he didn’t get to know Abi is because his heart was still with Catherine.”

“Poor Mitch, see his Adams apple bobbing in his throat,” said someone else.

Another fan weighed in: “Mitch isn’t wrong but Scott definitely needed that comeback cuz I would NEVER let someone disrespect me like this.”

When Scott showed an interest in her, Mitch made it clear they needed to end things if she wanted to stay with him.

However, things between then crashed and burned over Ella B’s bombshell arrival and, after Mitch got to know Ella, Abi made it clear that she wouldn’t sit back and watch.

As Mitch and Abi ended their romance, Abi and Scott later recoupled – but it seems tensions still remain high between the foursome.

Love Island continues tomorrow night on ITV2 at 9pm.
