‘I won Love Island and producers don’t let you shower or eat to film ITV2 show’

Former Love Island winner Liam Reardon has lifted the lid on what life was really like in the ITV villa.

The Welsh heartthrob first rose to fame when he joined the ITV2 dating show as a bombshell back in 2021.

And it didn’t take long before he found love in the arms of Millie Court after the pair fell for each other on the show.

Fans of the long-running reality show quickly fell in love with the two lovebirds who went on to beat Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran and Faye Winter and Teddy Soares in the grand final.

Now, in an exclusive interview with Daily Star, the TV hunk has revealed some of the worst parts of his time on the hugely popular dating program.

As he prepared for the launch of his first ever music event, the 23-year-old told us: “The days are long, they are really long days, you know, and you only see an hour a night.

“Like you get controlled basically, the show has to make a show, so you get told what time to wake up, what time you’re having lunch, what time you’re getting changed.

“[You’d ask the producers] ‘Can I go and have a shower quickly and do this?’ [and they’d say] ‘No you can’t you’ve got to go and do filming?’

“’Can I have something to eat?’ [and they’d say] ‘Nope, you have to go and do filming’,” he went on.

The Welshman added: “I’m not complaining because it was an amazing experience and I was very fortunate and grateful to be there, but not having your own independence for about eight weeks, it was difficult.”

The reality star went on to confess that the villa could be quite “boring” when you are forced to “have chats about things you don’t give a s**t about.”

Liam went on: “It was a bit boring to be honest. Some days you’d be sitting there doing nothing and you’d have to have chats about things you don’t care or give a s**t about. You know you don’t care what someone’s situation is.

“The debriefs, every morning you’d have to sit outside with the boys and go round each person and have a debrief and you just don’t care.

“[They’d say] ‘So me and so and so we’re going through this and we shared a bed’ I don’t care, you know, I saw you share a bed, I know what happened, I don’t care, you don’t have to tell me about it.

“But you know, you have to have a debrief int the morning so the viewers can be up to date with what’s going on.

“They were the worst because it was so hot and at this point you’ve had no drink, you’ve had no breakfast, you’ve just woken up and you’ve got to sit outside and talk about everyone else’s s**t. They were the hardest.
