Love Island’s Belle Hassan reveals sneaky way Islanders can get out of filming

Former Love Island star Belle Hassan has revealed the sneaky way she managed to get out of filming the hugely popular dating show.

Loyal fans of the ITV2 dating show will remember the brunette beauty from her time on the fifth series back in 2019 alongside Molly-Mae Hague, Tommy Fury, Amber Gill and Maura Higgins.

Throughout her time on the show, the makeup artist fell for Scottish hunk Anton Danyluk when she entered the villa as a Casa Amor bombshell.

Now, speaking exclusively to Daily Star, the makeup artist has revealed one way contestants can break the rules while filming the show.

After becoming the latest beauty ambassador of Superdrug, Belle told us how she successfully managed to get out of an entire morning of filming.

She confessed: “I have a full head of extensions and I did when I went into the villa, and I remember one day I was like, ‘I really need to wash my hair’ and they [ITV bosses] were like, ‘No you can’t because we’ve already started to film’.

“And I said, ‘No I have to’ and I remember crying because I just wanted to wash my hair.

After the makeup artist burst into tears, ITV bosses quickly changed their plans and let her take a break from filming to shower and re-style her hair.

The TV star recalled: “I remember they were like, ‘Belle it’s not that deep, like I didn’t realise it was deep, you can wash your hair it’s fine. We just need to keep you out of the chats for the morning’.

“And I was like, ‘Okay, that’s fine, I just want to wash my hair’. I was just having one of those days when you just have a really hormonal day, and I was probably just being a little bit of a diva.”

She continued: “I was like, ‘I just want to wash my hair and straighten it my extensions have gone all fluffy, I hate it.’

“So yeah, they did let me, I mean if you’re a little bit of a drama queen you can get away with it.”

The TV sensation went on to advise other contestants not to do the same as her but instead to ask producers nicely.

Belle begged: “Don’t be hard work for the producers, they’re all lovely. Just ask them nicely and they’ll let you do it.”

It comes after Belle was announced as Superdrug’s new brand ambassador who is fronting a new campaign titled ‘Search for Studio Stars’ which will discover and propel 10 creative talents within the cosmetics industry.

She gushed: “I am so grateful that Superdrug approached me for this campaign, as I think the cosmetics industry needs and deserves some time in the spotlight.

“Makeup artistry has given me so much opportunity, enabled me to work with such an amazing community and given me the confidence to branch out and build my own social brand.
