A new dishy vicar joins the upcoming series of Grantchester.
Rishi Nair was spotted filming his first scenes in ITV crime drama Grantchester with his predecessor Tom Brittney.
The actor, who played Sami Maalik in Hollyoaks, will star alongside Robson Green as Inspector Geordie Keeting in the 50s detective drama.

He said: “The welcome and support I’ve received from everyone has been overwhelming.”
The 32-year-old star has been cast as Reverend Alphy Kotteram and looked every bit the part on set in Cambridgeshire.
The soap star could be seen kitted out in a black and white vicar’s robe, looking rather different to how he did as lawyer Sami Malek in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks.
The actor seemed in high spirits as he was smiling and joking during chats with crew.
He also arrived to set in style as he drove a red open-top Triumph Herald into the village.

“Over the moon to be the new lead in the iconic British drama Grantchester, alongside the immensely talented Robson Green.”
He added: “I’m really excited to get started and cannot wait for Grantchester fans to meet Alphy and see all that’s in store for him.”
Robson first appeared in Grantchester back in 2014 and recently told fans he doesn’t plan on quitting anytime soon.
“It’s a happy place,” he said. “There’s been so many jobs in my career where I have just clock watched, calendar watched, but not with Grantchester.
“It’s a wonderful working environment and there is no negative energy on set.”
Rishi starred as lawyer Sami for four years said there was no negative energy on the set of Hollyoaks.
Speaking to Digital Spy, he said: “It’s a wonderful working environment and there is no negative energy on set.
“All of the cast that I’ve worked with has been incredible and the crew really are the heartbeat of that place. The show has been running for over twenty-six years and it’s the crew that has really kept it going.”
