Amanda Holden nets £1.5million profit as massive London home finally sells

Amanda Holden has made a huge profit after selling her stunning London home for a staggering £5million – a year after it was listed on the market.

The 52-year old, along with her husband Chris Hughes, bought the Richmond Park property in 2015 for £3.5m.

But after implementing her own style on the house with a series of renovations, Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda – along with Chris and their two daughters, Lexi and Hollie – looks set to move on to pastures new.

One option could be to make their second property in the Cotswolds a more permanent abode, a location they currently tend to save only for weekend excursions.

And with eldest, Lexi, 17, expressing a desire to study at a university in the US in the near future, perhaps downsizing could be on the cards too.

The lucky buyer of the aforementioned Richmond Park home, meanwhile, will benefit from a large landscaped rear garden featuring a hot tub and a palm tree planted in honour of Sir Captain Tom Moore, according to the Mirror.

It’s stunning living room boasts a gorgeous fireplace, whilst the kitchen – designed by Amanda herself – includes disco ball style lights hanging overhead.

The ground floor also incudes a family room, study and a trendy bar area, with multiple bedrooms, including Amanda’s dressing room, found upstairs.

Mother-of-two Amanda previously revealed planning permission has been granted for a potential garage, car port or a “habitable accommodation ancillary to the house”.

And discussing the property with the Mirror, she declared: “I am house proud, but I’ve got two kids, two dogs and a cat, so it’s a family house. Everything is washable and wipeable.

“It’s so open plan my littlest can cycle her bike around. I don’t have carpets on the ground floor – and this is disgusting – but I was doing an interview a while ago and my puppy pooed on the floor during the chat. But you don’t worry if you have wooden floors. Two words: wipe clean.”

Amanda, who is currently holidaying in Corfu, used her Instagram profile last week to promote her brand new show, Sex: A Bonkers History.

The series will follow her and best-selling author and historian Dan Jones as they explore how sexual behaviours through the ages have shaped civilisations today.

Speaking about the programme, which will air on Sky History channel in September, Amanda said her eyes have been “opened”.

She said: “Believe me when I say our generation knows nothing about sex compared to the debauched antics of our ancestors!

“My goodness, I’ve really had my eyes opened, and had a real laugh, during the filming of this brilliant new series. I have left it to Dan Jones to get his hands dirty whilst I’ve been on the side-lines as a very entertained voyeur.”
