Zara McDermott ‘vows to be sexiest Strictly star ever’ with wardrobe demand

Zara McDermott has reportedly vowed to be the sexiest Strictly Come Dancing star ever – and even issued show bosses with a demand for her wardrobe.

The BBC documentary star became the first Love Island alum to be signed up for the dancing show, and it sounds like she’s keen to bring the sex factor this year.

The blonde bombshell found fame strutting her stuff in bikinis in the ITV2 villa in 2018, and while she won’t likely be dancing in swimwear, fans could be set to see some sizzling costumes.

“Zara is absolutely stunning and puts in the work at the gym so she’s rightly proud of her body,” a source said.

They added to The Sun : “She’s young, fun and into fashion so she’s told the team she’s up for anything they throw at her – the shorter and skimpier the better, really.

“Zara knows she is the glam girl in this year’s cast and is up for the challenge of being the show’s sexiest star yet.”

Her stepping out onto the famous dance floor comes after Zara became the darling of the BBC with her drawing in a younger audience.

Since leaving the ITV2 villa, Zara has turned her hand to making documentaries for BBC Three, covering some very topical issues that young people face, as well as true crime.

However fans of hers would know she was far more than just her gorgeous looks, as she was working as a policy advisor in the Department of Energy and Climate Change and Department of Education before Love Island.

In recent years, she’s released documentaries covering revenge porn, rape culture, eating disorders and the tragic death of Gaia Pope.

The source said: “Zara is out to prove what you wear has nothing to do with your work or your intelligence, so owning the Strictly wardrobe is just part of that.”

Despite having plenty of years under her belt in the showbiz world, Zara has confessed she has no dance ability.

She said on BBC Radio 1 when she was announced for the show: “I have zero dance experience. I don’t even dance in a nightclub, I’m that petrified of dancing.”
