An Antiques Roadshow guest was left with their jaw on the floor after they found out their charity shop buy was worth thousands.
The hit BBC show returned for another instalment on Sunday evening (August 13) from Sefton Park in Liverpool – with host Fiona Bruce back at the helm.
Lars Tharp, a Chinese ceramics expert, was delighted when a guest brought in a number of his collectible ceramic pieces, including a vase, a plate and a china bowl, for him to value.

But the item that caught Lars’ eye the most was the green vase, that the man had bought from a charity shop for £7.99.
“In fact, it’s not one vase, it’s two vases,” Lars revealed as he took a closer look at the item and gave his verdict.
“There’s another vase inside, that’s actually quite a tricky thing to do. What’s really special about this is the shape. This is one of the oldest shapes known to Chinese culture, this is an ancient shape. The question is ‘is it ancient’?”
Lars revealed the vase was from the Ming Dynasty – and was worth between a whopping £5,000 and £10,000 because of its intricate nature and age.
The expert explained: “These lumpy little brackets…these feet with that lovely orange tinge where the glaze meets the body, that to me, suggests that it is Ming Dynasty.”
The guest gasped in shock and proclaimed: “Ming? Really Ming? Oh my god.”

Lars then joked: “Ker-ching!” before adding: “I think if it goes through the various tests in my mind, a piece like that would probably fetch somewhere between £5,000 and £10,000.”
Viewers watching the hit show at home were left equally as floored, with one person writing on X: “Bloody hell, well done lad!”
Someone else proclaimed: “£7.99 for a ming vase worth 5-10 grand!?”
