Bradley Walsh appeared completely baffled on Monday’s edition (14 August) of The Chase.
The ITV presenter took to the airwaves to introduce the new crop of contestants, which included 46-year-old kitchen designer Mel from Bristol, 33-year-old head of operations Leon from London and 51-year-old wildlife trust manager John from York.
But it was 29-year-old Natalie who left the host absolutely dumbfounded when she revealed her occupation.

As she prepared to face Shaun Wallace – aka The Dark Destroyer – she introduced herself as a “people engagement officer.”
Bradley, 63, at first enquired at what the role entailed, however his eyes virtually popped out of their sockets when she told him more.
She explained: “It’s about connecting people with nature, I work on sand dunes which was a really cool project in Sefton.
The hosts eyes glared at amazement at the person standing opposite as she continued: “The main thing with sand dunes is people walk through them just get to the beach, they don’t realise how much stuff is there in sand dunes.
“It’s amazing. There’s loads of rare wildlife and plants, it’s just absolutely beautiful.”
However, it seems that the viewers were just as dumbfounded by the Preston resident as the host himself.
One wrote: “She connects peoples to sand dunes? Non job #thechase.”
Another said: “She works in the dunes #thechase,” alongside the more sand GIF.
“She works with Sand dunes?? #TheChase”, asked a third.
As a fourth commented: “Connecting people with nature. Yeah alright I get it now,” with a picture of two naked people soaking up the sun on a nudist beach.
Whilst a fifth stated: “People Engagement Officer- what sort of job is that connecting people with nature. Just point them at the nearest park & save a salary!”
And a sixth added: “People engagement officer….. Nope I’ve no idea what it is either.”
