American Idol star Katharine McPhee canceled the rest of her Asia trip and rushed home after a horrific family tragedy.
It has been reported that the star’s 55-year-old nanny, who looks after her son, was killed at a Toyota dealership in Los Angeles last week when she was run over by an elderly woman.
The nanny, Yadira Calito, is said to have died and two employees were also injured at the scene.

According to a report shared by the Los Angeles police department on Twitter, the customer was pronounced dead at the hospital.
They said the driver of the SUV was an 84-year-old woman and the vehicle accelerated forward for “unknown reasons” and “collided with several people” who were inside the dealership.
The press release did not name the woman who was killed however a source has told TMZ that it was Yadira Calit.
The source also told the outlet that the elderly driver had been taking her car in for a service when she hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes.
Katharine has been on tour with her husband David Foster in Asia but canceled her last two shows after the accident.
She took to Instagram to share the news with her fans writing: “It’s with a heavy heart I announce I have to miss our final 2 shows of our Asia run.
The singer continued: “David and I have had a horrible horrible tragedy in our family and at least one of us need to get back home to our family.”
Katharine apologised to her fans and said she hopes to “return one day and perform for you all.”
The star has not yet detailed what the accident is.
Foster stayed to perform the final two shows of the tour in Jakarta, with the last being last night in the Indonesian city.
