ITV viewers complain Loose Women get too much air time as duo appear on Lorraine

ITV viewers reacted angrily on Thursday morning (August 17) after Loose Women panelists Linda Robson and Jane Moore appeared on Lorraine to promote the daytime show’s forthcoming live tour.

Hosted by guest presenter Ranvir Singh, the duo’s chat sparked a backlash from fans, who accused the broadcaster of airing the ladies too often and over-plugging the tour to boost its ticket sales.

Ranvir began: “Now brace yourselves because Loose Women are coming to a stage near you as they take part in the first ever Loose tour.”

Jane joked: “The best part is Linda will be allowed to swear,” prompting Linda to respond that she’s allowed “one swear word per show” and that she’s a “potty mouth”, but also a “national treasure”.

After being asked what fans can expect from the live shows, Jane responded: “We’re sort of doing two shows per night. We’ll do 50 minutes, then an interval followed by another 50 minutes.”

She continued: “So there will be a bit of what you see on telly as well as other stuff such as backstage secrets, a few performers, party tricks, games and audience questions.”

Linda added: “Yep and there’s a Q&A and fans will also find out what happens when we arrive at the studio in the morning – meetings, wardrobe and all the rituals we go through as well as our walking-on music.”

As promotion of the tour continued, Lorraine fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to vent their frustrations.

One asked: “Isn’t 5 days a week of #loosewomen in the afternoons enough? #Lorraine.”

Another declared: “The amount @ITV are promoting this #LooseWomen tour it makes me heavily suspect *whispers* that no f*****s are buying tickets #lorraine.”

A third added: “I’m getting the feeling that they haven’t sold that many tickets. They are plugging this like mad #Lorraine.”

And a fourth said: “I like Linda but I can’t stand Loose Women and I think it’s losing viewers, hence why they’re plugging this now since I doubt many people bought tickets. #Lorraine.”
