‘Angelina Jolie begged me to spank her in Playboy Mansion – it was weirdest thing ever’

Being the butler at the Playboy Mansion can bring you face-to-face with some very well-known celebrities.

But behind the fabled mansion’s locked gates, those famous names can let their hair down in wild and surprising ways.

Hugh Hefner’s former butler Bryant Horowitz has spilled on the times that he bought some budget swimming trunks for a future US president and an Oscar-winning actress begged him to spank her.

Bryant was Hugh Hefner’s butler from 1997 until 2016, shortly before the Playboy tycoon’s death at the age of 91.

He reunited with some old Playboy pals – Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison – to chat about their TV heyday, and some of Hefner’s crazy parties.

Bryant shared a bizarre story about Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie: “One of those first parties before the girlfriends there was – at this point in time relatively unknown actress named Angelina Jolie,” he recalled.

Shortly before his death, Hefner revealed that he wanted Angelina to pose for Playboy more than any other celebrity. “He always said that she was the one that got away,” according to insiders.

But Bryant says he only knew of her coming to one party, quite early in her career.

“This was after a movie… maybe Gia that she did? I can’t remember the name of the movie specifically but before she hit it big – before Brad Pitt and things like that,” she continued.

“I was in the bath house area cleaning it out, cleaning out the trash cans and replacing the bags,” he recalls.

“It was after midnight…and there was a girl in the bath house that had a bunch of other people in with her.

“I knocked on the door to ask if they needed me to empty the trash can and this girl that I didn’t recognise at the time said ‘No but I need you to spank me’.

“This was in my first couple of years there and I was not… I would never be comfortable doing that to anybody. I turned it down but that was probably the weirdest thing that happened to me.”

He stresses that he didn’t think Angelina had singled him out, adding: “If it wasn’t me it would have been whoever the next person was, it’s not because it was me – it’s just because I happened to be there.”

He shared a few other recollections of Hefner’s wild parties, adding: “I’ve seen Snoop Dogg fall down the back stairs to the laundry room because he was too faded.

“For some reason, during a party he was hanging in the back area where our soda fountain was, in the back kitchen area, and there’s some stone steps down into the laundry room.

“And he was hanging out at the top of the stairs and he lost his balance and fell but he was so faded that he popped back up and said ‘I’m fine’.

“The day that Snoop Dogg can’t handle his s*** – that’s a weird day.”

Bryant was one of the few members of mansion staff that Hefner knew by name

But when it comes to memorable celebrity encounters, US presidents have to be somewhere near the top of the list.

“It was July 4,” Bryant told Holly and Bridget, “it was always fireworks and it was a pool party and one of the first guests to arrive that day was one Donald J Trump.”

The future president, then presenter of the US version of the Apprentice, had made two wardrobe mistakes

First, he was wearing a captain’s hat, like the one Hefner often wore, making them “twinsies” and he “showed up in a full suit, and it was getting warm”.

Trump hadn’t remembered to bring a swimsuit, and with all the staff busy with the party there was no-one available to fetch one for him.

Bryant was instructed to grab some petty cash and get Hefner’s guest a swimsuit.

“I was not about to spend a lot of time on it,” Bryant recalls. “I was not a fan of Trump then, and with the fourth of July and what did I do? I went to [budget chain] Ross Dress For Less … and I bought the cheapest swimsuit that I could find. I don’t even know if it was $10.

“I know he wore it, but I don’t know if he actually went into the water…”
